I have memory loss…
The Geissospermum laeve or vellosii plant extract (Pao pereira) is definitely a source of various benefits. A new article has just been published uncovering another interesting property of the bark. The journal “Plant Biochemistry & Physiology” published a mini review about the effectiveness of various plants helping to fight memory loss. The Geissospermum vellosii bark extract is mentioned as part of a study on mice and its beneficial effect about that matter (1).
This tree is full of surprises with its many benefits. We already know the reliance by traditional medicine in South America, where this plant extract has been used to fight fever, nausea and parasites since the mid-nineteenth century.
We also know about the many studies that Dr. Mirko Beljanski’s team devoted to this plant to show its important role in fighting cancer cells and viruses (2). Later, were added the important confirmations from prestigious American research institutions such as as Columbia University and Kansas University Medical Center in the treatment of various cancers (prostate, pancreas and ovarian cancers) (3).
What will be the next great discovery?
