Cancer: A reflection on the latest available data
Last Saturday, I was given the opportunity to speak at the event “Healthy Structures” hosted by Barnes and Noble in Bay Shore, NY.
For me it was an opportunity to reflect on the latest available data about cancer. With 1 man out of 2 and 1 woman out of 3 already hit with cancer in their lifetime(1), and the latest prediction of Cancer American Society that the cases of cancer will double by 2030, that leaves us with almost everybody touched by cancer.
The question is: What did we achieve since Richard Nixon declared “war on cancer” by signing the National Cancer Act in 1971? And who will be accountable for the billions of federal dollars spent to get us there? Truth is that 45 years later, the treatments have not changed: cutting, poisoning and burning (surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy) are still at the center of the regimen.
What is the reason behind this debacle? Maybe we did not look at the right place, and this just because the right place does not provide the comfy return on investment.
Mirko Beljanski had a stroke of genius when he realized that if nature created carcinogens, nature must have also created anti-carcinogenic molecules… history has proved him right and still does. Inspired by the increased interest in integrative medicine and therefore in the Beljanski Approach to Wellness by healthcare professionals worldwide, The Beljanski Foundation will organize for the first time a scientific symposium for Healthcare Professionals on December 3rd in New York. Featuring a roster of experts in a range of fields, the symposium will present both advancements in the field of holistic medicine, and the promising results that have characterized The Beljanski Foundation research programs for the last two decades.(2)
The Beljanski Foundation will also organize on december 3rd its annual fundraising: “Eat, drink and be charitable: Cocktail party!”, which will be held in Manhattan at The Lotos Club.(3)
